Hi beautiful people! This week is definitely a sadder post. Unfortunately, due to the recent restrictions all over the country, many of the restaurants have had to close their dining and switch to delivery and takeout. It is so important that we continue to support them so that they can make it. I thought it would be a good idea to recommend some of my favorite restaurants (there are more than these 6) to give you and idea of some businesses that you can support.
1. India House @ 59 W Grand Ave
India House, a traditional Indian restaurant is available for both takeout and delivery through their online orders, and caviar and grubhub are too. I encourage you to try the baingan barta, the tandoori chicken, and the garlic naan.
2. Topo Gigio @ 1516 N Wells St
One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Old Town, Topo Gigio, an amazing family run casual Italian restaurant is available for delivery via Doordash and available for pickup via their website. I recommend you get the Fusilli alla Topo Gigio, Calamari Fritti, and La Caprese salad.
3. Butcher & The Burger @ 1021 W Armitage Ave
Butcher & The Burger is an amazing, hole in the wall burger place. My family and I discovered this place and we have been obsessed ever since. Butcher & The Burger is available for pickup orders via their phone number, and available for delivery via Doordash, Grubhub, and postmates. I recommend that you try the Grass-fed beef burger with the Chicago style steakhouse blend or the curry coconut. Also, the black truffle mayo is an amazing for dipping your burger or the amazing fries in.
4. Stella Barra Pizzeria @ 1954 N Halsted St
Stella Barra is definitely one of my family's favorite restaurants. Stella Barra is available for takeout & delivery via Doordash. Some of my favorite dishes are the proscuitto & egg pizza, the burrata, and the meatballs
5. Kamehachi @ 1531 N Wells St
Kamehachi is one of my favorite sushi places. Kamehachi is available for takeout and delivery via their website, and Doordash. I recommend that you try the rock shrimp tempura, tempura udon, and the spicy tuna roll.
6. Athenian Room @ 807 W Webster St
Athenian Room may be one of my favorite restaurants of all time. For a long period of time during quarantine, Athenian Room was shut down and the day it opened we ordered. Athenian room is available for carryout only, and they only accept cash. Trust me, it's worth it. I recommend that you try the Skirt Steak Alexandros Style, the tzatziki, and the chicken breast shish kabob.
